Upto ₹10,000 fine, jail for those plying unfit vehicles in Delhi

Delhi's Transport Department said owners and drivers of vehicles, including those of government departments, found plying without a valid fitness certificate could be fined upto ₹10,000 or be jailed. They could be fined between ₹2,000-5,000 for first offence and ₹5,000-10,000 for subsequent offences. Vehicle owners will also have to pay renewal fee for their vehicle's certificate of registration.
