Uruli Devachi garbage depot in Pune turned into 'Amrut Van' forest
Once a garbage depot spread over 20 acres, a spot in Pune's Uruli Devachi has been turned into an urban forest, which is expected to be a major tourist attraction in the future. The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has named it 'Amrut Van'. It had planted over 20,000 saplings that have grown into 10-foot-tall trees over the past three years.
