US' Nasdaq plunges 4%, records worst trading day since April 2025
The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite fell 4% on Friday, recording its steepest decline since April 2025. The S&P 500 dropped 2.64%, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average lost 695.15 points, or 1.35%. The sell-off was driven largely by a sharp decline in chip stocks, with the iShares Semiconductor ETF plunging 10%, its worst single-day fall since March 2020.
