US aircraft transporting fuel crashes into frozen river in Alaska

A Douglas C-54 aircraft, transporting fuel, crashed into a frozen river shortly after takeoff in Fairbanks, Alaska on Tuesday. According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), two people were on board the plane, which slid into a steep riverbank hill and caught fire. Alaska's Department of Public Safety stated no survivors have been located.
