US approves $1.4 billion in arms sales to UAE before Trump's visit

The United States Department of State on Monday approved around $1.4 billion in arms sales to the UAE ahead of President Donald Trump's visit to the Gulf country. The proposed sale includes six CH-47F Chinook helicopters and related components worth $1.32 billion, along with F-16 jet maintenance estimated at $130 million. Trump will also visit Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
