US approves $3.5 billion sale of Apache helicopters to South Korea

The Pentagon said that US state department has approved the potential sale of Apache helicopters and related logistics and support to South Korea for an estimated $3.5 billion. The purchase includes 36 AH-64E Apache helicopters along with missiles, engines, and weapon systems. The primary vendors for the proposed sale to South Korea are Boeing and Lockheed Martin.
