US approves potential $225 million missile sale to Turkey

The US Department of Defense on Wednesday approved a potential $225 million Foreign Military Sale to Turkey, including 53 AIM-120C-8 Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missiles (AMRAAMs) and six guidance sections, along with related logistics and support. "This proposed sale will provide Turkey with a critical air defence capability to assist in defending its homeland," the department said.
