US Army shows use of Microsoft's AR headset in the field

The US Army has shared an early demo of Integrated Visual Augmentation System, which uses modified version of Microsoft's HoloLens 2 to provide combat assistance and training, with CNBC. It features thermal imaging, lets soldiers view their squad's position on map, among other things, and provides data like wearer's heart rate. Microsoft had faced employee criticism over the $479-million contract
