US asks Qatar to expel Hamas after it rejects hostage deal

The US has pressed Qatar to expel Hamas from Doha following the group's refusal of a recent hostage release and ceasefire proposal. A senior official stated that "its leaders should no longer be welcome in the capitals of any American partner".
