US-based startup launches mission to save NASA satellite from crashing on Earth

US-based startup Katalyst Space Technologies launched its robotic spacecraft, LINK, on the first US mission to rescue an ageing satellite in orbit. The mission aims to save NASA's 22-year-old Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, which is losing altitude due to atmospheric drag and is in danger of crashing back to Earth. NASA awarded Katalyst a $30 million contract for the mission.
