US-based startup to send human ashes to space for ₹22,828

Florida-based startup Space Beyond, founded by former Blue Origin engineer Ryan Mitchell, will send as many as 1,000 humans' ashes to space in one go aboard a brick-sized CubeSat for $249 (₹22,828.32). It will integrate CubeSat on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rideshare mission scheduled for October 2027. CubeSat will remain in orbit for five years before re-entering Earth’s atmosphere.
