US blames 'staff' for secretary's bogus US Navy escorting tanker in Strait of Hormuz claim

US President Donald Trump-led administration has blamed "staff" after White House confirmed US Energy Secretary Chris Wright's post claiming US Navy escorted an oil tanker through the Strait of Hormuz is false. "A video clip was deleted...after it was determined to be incorrectly captioned by Department of Energy staff," a spokesperson from the energy department said.
