US bombs 16 Iranian mine-laying vessels near Strait ‌of Hormuz after Trump's post

The US Central Command has said that the US military bombed 16 Iranian mine-laying vessels near the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday. This comes after US President Donald Trump said, "If for any reason [Iran placed mines in Strait of Hormuz], and they are not removed forthwith, the military consequences to Iran will be at a level never seen before."
