US cab driver who kidnapped, assaulted 12 women jailed for 290 yrs

An ex-cab driver was sentenced to 290 years in jail in US' Denver after prosecutors said he abducted and assaulted 12 women between 2018 and 2022. The 43-year-old man, identified as John Pastor-Mendoza, reportedly targeted women who seemed to be intoxicated and picked them up outside bars, clubs by posing as the driver assigned to them via a ride-sharing app.
