US can't confirm top Russian General injured in Ukraine: Official

The US cannot confirm media reports that the head of the Russian armed forces, General Valery Gerasimov, was injured during a visit to Ukraine's Donbas region, a US official said on Monday. Several media reports have claimed that Gerasimov was wounded during fighting. Notably, Russian forces launched a fresh offensive in Ukraine last month after retreating from the country's north.
