US CDC issues alert for infections caused by flesh-eating bacteria
US CDC has issued a health alert warning doctors to be on the lookout for people infected with the flesh-eating bacteria Vibrio vulnificus. US has reported 13 deaths in 2023 due to Vibrio vulnificus. According to CDC, the pathogenic bacteria can be found in raw or undercooked seafood, saltwater and saline water. Symptoms of infection include watery diarrhoea, chills, etc.
