US citizen arrested in India had come from Bali, stayed in Goa for 6 weeks

US citizen Jordan Brown, who was arrested in Uttar Pradesh's Maharajganj, had come from Bali and stayed in Goa for six weeks, officials said. Brown claimed he had met a Nepali national in Goa and was travelling to UP's Sonauli to meet him before crossing into Nepal. However, he failed to provide the man’s full name, address or contact details.
