US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick apologised for saying no Americans died in the Iran war. "I think ‌the ⁠way the president (Donald Trump) is playing Iran...There haven't been American deaths. It's really just an economic choke-out," he had said in an interview. "I misspoke...Eighteen members of our ​military have died...I was thinking ​about the Venezuelan military operation," he clarified.
