US conducts military drills in Indian Ocean, releases pictures

US Marine Corps conducted a military drill on Diego Garcia island in the Indian Ocean. In a post, US Marine Corps said the forces executed a "simulated reconnaissance and surveillance mission part of a simulated amphibious assault". It added that the forces "contribute to deterrence, security, crisis response, and combat operations in the Indo-Pacific region".
