US confirms it sank Iranian warship returning from India near Sri Lanka
The US has confirmed it carried out submarine attack on an Iranian warship in the Indian Ocean off Sri Lanka's coast that led to 100 people going missing and 78 getting injured. Sri Lankan authorities said they rescued 32 people and recovered several bodies. The warship, IRIS Dena, had participated in Indian Navy's multinational exercise in Visakhapatnam in mid-February.
