US Congress invites Google, Meta CEOs over kids' online safety
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, TikTok's Shou Zi Chew, and Snap's Evan Spiegel have been invited to US Capitol Hill to answer questions from lawmakers about children's online safety. These tech companies are facing mounting criticism over child and teen safety. However, the government has so far declined to pass comprehensive legislation regulating social media.
