US Congress passes Bill on detaining illegal immigrants

The US Congress passed 'Laken Riley Act'- a Bill mandating detention of undocumented migrants charged with certain crimes, ranging from burglary, theft to assault on law enforcement officers. It'll be the first law to be signed in President Donald Trump's second term. The bill brought by Congressional Republicans was passed after House of Representatives approved it with a 263-156 vote.
