US Congress warned against imposing sanctions on India

The Commander of the US Fleet Forces Command, Admiral Philip S Davidson, has warned the US Congress against imposing sanctions on India for purchasing defence equipment from Russia. Davidson said the move will pose a concern for US' defence ties in the Indo-Pacific. He further said the move could increase dependence of US partners on Russia.
