US COVID-19 deaths exceed its World War II troop fatalities: AFP
The US' death toll from coronavirus, the highest globally, has surpassed the number of fatalities the country suffered in World War II, AFP reported. Johns Hopkins University tracker showed that COVID-19 has killed 4,06,147 people in the US, as compared to 4,05,399 American deaths in WWII. The US has also reported the highest coronavirus cases at over 2.44 crore.
