US cuts tariffs on Bangladesh by just 1%, days after reducing tariffs on India by 32%
The US and Bangladesh have signed a reciprocal tariff agreement, cutting tariffs on Bangladeshi goods by just 1% to 19%. This comes days after the announcement of the India-US trade agreement, under which tariffs on Indian goods will be reduced by 32% to 18%. Bangladeshi officials hailed the 1% tariff reduction, saying it "marks a historically new level".
