The US House Oversight Committee is probing Democrat Representative Ilhan Omar and her husband, Tim Mynett, after financial disclosures showed their combined total listed assets rose from about $208,000 in 2023 to as much as $30 million in 2024. The valuation of two businesses in which Mynett holds stakes allegedly surged sharply. Omar has criticised the probe as politically motivated.
