The US Space Force has publicly confirmed for the first time that it has weapons deployed in orbit. US Air Force Secretary Troy Meink said the service has "on-orbit space control weapons" capable of defending US forces against hostile action. The Space Force said such capabilities can use kinetic or non-kinetic means for offensive or defensive missions.
