US diplomat found dead in Myanmar; Thai woman faces murder charges

The US Department of State has confirmed that an American diplomat working at the Embassy in Myanmar's Rangoon was found dead. A Thai woman has appeared in court on murder charges relating to the incident which took place last month in a hotel some 1.5 kms away from the Embassy. Authorities did not provide further information owing to privacy concerns.
