US economy's growth slows to 1.4% in Oct-Dec, badly missing estimates

The Dow Jones estimate had expected the economic growth to be 2.5% in the quarter, with the US Commerce Department blaming reduced government spending and exports and a deceleration in consumer spending. Donald Trump blamed the government shutdown for the reduced growth.
