US expands ban on imports of more Chinese telecom equipment

The US has expanded its ban on imports of telecommunications and surveillance equipment from several Chinese manufacturers. The restrictions now cover older models, extending beyond devices introduced after 2022. The FCC cited national security concerns involving equipment used for public safety, security of government facilities, and physical security surveillance of critical infrastructure.
