US F-35 fighters arrive in South Korea for joint drills

US Air Force F-35A stealth fighters arrived in South Korea on Tuesday for joint drills amid North Korea tensions. It is reportedly the first known deployment of the US stealth fighter jets to South Korea since December 2017. The deployment is aimed at demonstrating the South Korea-U.S. alliance's strong deterrence and combined defence posture, South Korea's Defence Ministry said.
