US Fed keeps interest rates at 23-yr-high for 6th straight meeting

The US Federal Reserve on Wednesday kept its interest rates unchanged in the 5.25% to 5.50% range. This was the sixth straight meeting in which the rates remained unchanged at a 23-year-high. The Fed said it wouldn't be appropriate to reduce the target range until inflation starts moving sustainably towards the bank's 2% target.
