US Fed keeps interest rates unchanged at 3.5-3.75%

The US Federal Reserve on Wednesday kept interest rates unchanged at 3.5-3.75% after three successive rate cuts. "The US economy expanded at a solid pace last year and is coming into 2026 on a firm footing," the Fed Chair Jerome Powell said. "While job gains have remained low, the unemployment rate has shown some signs of stabilisation," he added.
