US Fed keeps interest rates unchanged for 2nd consecutive time

The US Federal Reserve kept interest rates unchanged at 3.5%-3.75% for a second straight meeting, citing uncertainty over the economic impact of the ongoing Middle East war. "In the near term, higher energy prices will push up overall inflation, but it is too soon to know the scope...of the potential effects on the economy," said Fed Chair Jerome Powell.
