US fighter jets intercept 6 Russian aircraft near Alaska

Six Russian aircraft were intercepted by US fighter jets as they were operating in international airspace near Alaska, the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) said. Issuing a statement over the same, NORAD said, "This Russian activity in the North American ADIZ occurs regularly and isn't seen as...threat." The intercepted Russian planes included TU-95 bombers and SU-35 fighter jets.
