US fines Amazon $1.2mn for illegally distributing pesticides

Amazon has been ordered to pay $1.2 million by the US for illegally distributing unregistered pesticide products in the country. The fine will settle allegations that Amazon committed nearly 4,000 violations for selling imported pesticide products not licensed for sale in the US. Amazon will also develop an online training course on pesticide regulations as part of the settlement.
