US firm creates phone booth-sized hologram machine for calls

Los Angeles-based tech firm PORTL has created a phone booth-sized device that lets users talk to a life-sized hologram of a person in real-time. The device can be plugged in front of a crowd while the person could live stream remotely, which CEO David Nussbaum termed as "holoportation". He added, "If you can't be there, beam there."
