US firm KLA to invest ₹3,600 cr in Tamil Nadu, create 4,000 jobs

US-based semiconductor major KLA Corporation signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tamil Nadu government to invest ₹3,600 crore in the state. The company will establish its global research and development campus in Chennai, which aims to create up to 4,000 jobs. The 12-acre campus will support advanced research in high-performance computing and AI-driven semiconductor innovation.
