US firm ordered to pay ₹211 crore for newborn's death after denying mother's WFH request
A jury in the US state of Ohio awarded $22.5 million (around ₹211 crore) to a woman after an employer denied her work-from-home request despite her high-risk pregnancy. The woman was reportedly told to return to the office immediately or take unpaid leave. Jurors held the company 90% responsible and asked it to pay $22.5 million to the woman.
