US forces in Japan face curfew, alcohol ban after Okinawa woman's murder
US forces stationed in Japan's Okinawa have been given a month-long curfew after a Marine allegedly murdered and robbed a 39-year-old Japanese woman. Soldiers will be banned from drinking alcohol and military operations will be paused for 48 hours while troops undergo discipline training. Marine Lance Corporal Devin Jacob Ballard was arrested over the alleged murder but denied the allegation.
