US GDP grows 0.5% in Q4 as economy slows more than expected

US government released its final reading of fourth-quarter GDP, which showed the economy grew at a 0.5% annualized rate. That figure was lower than the expectations of economists, who had estimated 0.7% GDP growth in the quarter. In the third quarter of 2025, real GDP increased 4.4%. These movements were partly offset by decreases in government spending and exports.
