US gives $1.25 billion to Pak months after 'salesman' Munir shows rare earths to Trump

The US Export-Import Bank has approved $1.25 billion in financing for Pakistan to support the mining of critical minerals at Reko Diq in Balochistan, the US Embassy in Islamabad confirmed. This development comes months after Pakistan's CDF Asim Munir showed off rare earth minerals to US President Donald Trump. Munir was criticised for behaving like a salesman around Trump.
