US got warning about Al-Qaeda 7 days before 9/11 attack

One week before the 9/11 attacks, White House counterterrorism official Richard Clarke warned National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice about the threat from Al-Qaeda. He urged stronger action against the group and warned that it could kill hundreds of Americans if the US failed to act. Clarke had repeatedly pushed for action since the 2000 USS Cole attack in Yemen.
