US govt asks court to dismiss lawsuit against social media exec order

The Trump administration has asked a court to dismiss the lawsuit filed by digital rights group CDT against its social media executive order. It called the lawsuit a "profound misunderstanding" and said the order only directs government agencies. White House spokesperson Judd Deere said the administration asked for lawsuit's dismissal because "it is not a valid legal argument".
