US govt sees partial shutdown again as Democrats pull ICE funding

The US government will face another partial shutdown beginning Saturday, after lawmakers failed to resolve an impasse over ICE funding and immigration enforcement. Democrats blocked funding to protest violent tactics used during the crackdown in Minneapolis, which led to 2 killings. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt blamed Democrats for shutdown over "political and partisan reasons."
