US health department warns people after man dies of rabies from apparent bat bite

The Illinois Department of Public Health asked people to "be aware of bats that could be in your home" after a man in his 80s died of rabies after apparently being bitten by a bat. He woke up to a bat on his neck and the bat tested positive for rabies. He began experiencing symptoms of rabies and subsequently died.
