US House passes biggest-ever $1.15 trillion defence bill

The US House of Representatives has passed the country's biggest-ever $1.15 trillion defence bill by 216 to ​212 votes amid ongoing war with Iran. All but seven Republicans voted in favour of the bill, ​and all except six Democrats voted against it. The National Defence Authorisation Act will now go to the Senate for approval before becoming a law.
