US House passes bill to make daylight saving time permanent

US House of Representatives passed Sunshine Protection Act, a bill that would end the practice of changing clocks twice a year in US by making daylight saving time permanent. This means clocks would stay one hour ahead of standard time throughout the year. However, the bill must also be approved by the Senate before it can be signed into law.
