US and Iranian officials are likely to meet face-to-face in Pakistan's Islamabad on Friday to mediate an end to the Middle East war after a two-week ceasefire extension, CNN reported. US VP JD Vance, Trump's close aides Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are likely to attend the negotiations. Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif extended an invitation to US and Iranian delegations.
