US-Iran war has cost $37.5 billion so far: US War Secretary Hegseth

US War Secretary Pete Hegseth said US' war with Iran has cost $37.5 billion so far. Speaking before a Senate committee, he defended administration's handling of the conflict and urged lawmakers to approve the proposed $1.5 trillion defence budget for 2027. The US-Iran ceasefire ⁠collapsed earlier this month and both sides have been carrying out daily strikes against each other.
